Major bank offers newcomers simplified solutions

(NC) Newcomers to Canada often find it difficult to navigate the banking system in their new country. A recent poll from the Royal Bank of Canada shows that almost half (44 per cent) of them feel that they didn't know which banking products were right for their needs, making it difficult to choose the products and services that are best for them.

“There are a number of difficulties that newcomers face when it comes to navigating Canada's banking system, and we've worked on ours to make it easier,” says Christine Shisler, the director of multicultural markets at RBC. “Access to credit has been a challenge in the past, and we now have programs that specifically address the needs of many newcomers, including 'no-credit-history-required' products like a credit card, an auto loan, and a mortgage. Still, the best way to fully understand all of the available options, and what works best for you, is to speak to a financial advisor.”

A financial advisor will be able to help you understand what is available, and also help to ensure that you are set up for financial success – including personalized advice and help all along the way for today, tomorrow and in the future.
